Objective To explore the clinical efcacy and cosmetic effect of dual-avelength intense pulsed light (IPL) combined with 30% supramolecular salicylic acid in the treatment of facial acne vulgaris. Methods A total of 60 cases of facial acne vulgaris admitted to the Department of Dermatology of Jiangning Hospital Affiliateto Nanjing Medical University from January 2020 to August 2021 were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into the control group (30 cases) and the observation group (30 cases). The control group was treated with dual-wavelength IPL, and the observation group was treated with dual-wavelength IPL combined with 30% supramolecular salicylic acid. The clinical effica, acne comprehensive grading system (GAGS) score, skin barrier function [skin transcutaneous water loss (TEWL), stratum corneum water content, ph value], adverse reactions，Acne scar condition and skin score were compared between the two groups. Results The effectiverate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the GAGS scores of the two groups were decreased, and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the TEWL and ph values of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the water content of the stratum corneum was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). There was no significantdifferencein the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). There was a statistically significantdifferencein acne scar grading between the two groups (P<0.05)；After treatment, the scores of skin pores, Erythema and purplish substance in the groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group, the differencewas statistically significant(P< 0.05). Conclusion Dual-wavelength IPL combined with 30% supramolecular salicylic acid in the treatment of facial acne vulgaris has obvious therapeutic effect,which can promote regression of skin lesions, improve skin barrier, reduce acne scar, and has good safety.
