Abstract:Objective To compare the application effect of modified palpebral marginal incision technique and traditional incision technique for double eyelid surgery and its influenceon postoperative double eyelid morphology, incidence of scar and corneal exposure rate. Methods A total of 80 patients with foldless eyelid admitted to the Beijing Aiyuhua Hospital from March 2020 to March 2021 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received traditional incision technique for double eyelid surgery, and the observation group received modifie palpebral marginal incision technique for double eyelid surgery. The postoperative double eyelid morphology, incidence of scar, corneal exposure rate and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total efective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the differencewas statistically significant(P<0.05). The GAIS score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the VAS score was lower than that of the control group , and the differencewas statistically significant(P<0.05). The increase of right corneal exposure rate and left corneal exposure rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differenceswere statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.00%, which was lower than 22.50% in the control group, and the differenc was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with the traditional incision technique for double eyelid surgery, the modified palpebral marginal incision technique for double eyelid surgery does not excessively increase the postoperative corneal exposure rate, and the incidence of postoperative scar is lower, the double eyelid morphology is more ideal, and the patient acceptance is higher.
