Objective To investigate the effectof autologous fat injection and orbital septal fat replacement in the correction of infraorbital margin depression in young people. Methods A total of 78 young patients with infraorbital margin depression in our hospital from April 2020 to April 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into reset group and autologous group by random number table method, with 39 cases in each group. The reset group was treated with orbital septum fat replacement, and the autologous group was treated with autologous fat injection. The improvement of tear trough, clinical indicators, cosmetic satisfaction, complications and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of lacrimal groove, zygomatic fat pad prolapse, pigmentation and skin folds of Tear Trough Rating Scale (TTRS) at 24 weeks after operation in the autologous group were lower than those in the reset group, and the differences were statisticaly significant P<0.05). The postoperative VAS score of the autologous group was lower than that of the reset group, and the ocular appearance recovery and hospitalization time of the autologous group were shorter than those of the reset group, and the satisfaction scores of patients with the lower orbital margin aesthetics and hospitalization comfort were higher than those of the reset group, and the differencewas statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the autologous group was lower than that in the reset group, and the differencewas statistically significant(P<0.05). The scores of physical function, psychological function, material life and social function in the autologous group were higher than those in the reset group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Autologous fat injection has a good effectin the correction of infraorbital margin depression in young people. The improvement of lacrimal groove is better than that of orbital septum fat replacement, and it has less pain, faster recovery, and high cosmetic satisfaction and quality of life.
