Orthodontic bracket is an indispensable part of fixed orthodontic treatment. Because of its long use time and easy shedding, the use of new brackets increases the economic burden of patients, so its recycling method has been widely concerned. At present, there are many commonly used bracket recovery methods, all of which have certain advantages and disadvantages. This paper reviews the treatment methods and specific operation methods of the shedding metal bracket base plate, aiming to explore the advantages and disadvantages of each method and the research progress, so as to provide reference for the reuse of clinical shedding brackets.
