Objective To observe the clinical features of nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) with occult branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO). Methods From October 2019 to October 2021, 9 patients ( 9 eyes ) diagnosed with NAION combined with occult BRVO in Tianjin Eye Hospital were selected as the research objects. All patients underwent best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ), indirect ophthalmoscopy, visual field, fundus fluorescein angiography, and systemic circulation improvement treatment. The changes of visual acuity, mean defect (MD) and mean sensitivity (MS) were observed before and after treatment. Results The BCVA of the last examination of 9 patients after treatment was 0.5-1.0, the mean BCVA was (0.72±0.24), the mean MD was (9.20±2.35), the mean MS was (17.87±2.20). After one course of treatment, the visual field defect of the patients was improved. After the treatment, the visual acuity of the patients was improved by more than 2 lines, and the visual field was improved. After 7 months of follow-up after treatment, it was found that the patient 's visual field had basically recovered. Conclusion Clinical diagnosis of NAION combined with occult BRVO requires FFA examination, and the prognosis is generally good after early active treatment.
