Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of plastic and cosmetic repair technology in the treatment of emergency facial trauma. Methods A total of 80 patients with facial trauma admitted to the emergency department of our hospital from January 2017 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine surgical repair, and the observation group was given plastic and cosmetic repair technology. The wound repair effect, quality of life, satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of repair in the observation group was 92.50%, which was higher than 72.50% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of mental health, physiological function, vitality and social function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.00%, which was lower than 22.50% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The repair effect of plastic and cosmetic repair technology in the treatment of emergency facial trauma patients is better than that of conventional surgical repair, with fewer postoperative complications, which can further improve the quality of life and satisfaction of patients, and is worthy of clinical application.
