Abstract:Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of all-ceramic crowns and metal-ceramic crown in dental restorations. Methods From July 2020 to December 2021, 100 patients who underwent dental restoration in the Department of Stomatology of Dongfeng Community Health Service Center in Chaoyang District of Beijing were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into reference group and study group, with 50 cases in each group. The reference group used metal-ceramic crowns, and the study group used all-ceramic crowns. The clinical efficacy, periodontal clinical indicators (plaque index, gingival sulcus bleeding index and periodontal pocket probe depth) and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of repair in the study group was 96.00%, which was higher than 84.00% in the reference group, the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05). The PLI, BI score and PD of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05). However, there was no significant difference in PLI, BI score and PD between the two groups after treatment ( P >0.05). The total incidence of complications in the study group was 2.00%, which was lower than 16.00% in the reference group, the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05). Conclusion All-ceramic crown is effective in the treatment of dental restoration, which can reduce the incidence of complications. It is an effective and safe therapy and is worthy of clinical application.
