Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of targeted oral repair therapy in elderly oral diseases. Methods A total of 46 elderly patients with oral diseases who were treated in the Department of Stomatology of our hospital from May 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 23 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conservative treatment, and the observation group was treated with targeted treatment. The clinical efficacy, quality of life score and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 91.30%, which was higher than 73.91% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores of quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the observation group was 86.96%, which was higher than 69.57% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion For elderly patients with multiple oral diseases, targeted oral restoration plans can be developed based on the type, location, nature, and treatment goals of the patients' oral diseases, as long as their basic conditions allow. This can improve the treatment effectiveness of oral diseases, improve their quality of life, and increase patients' satisfaction.
