Objective To explore the application effect of collagen thread in facial plastic surgery. Methods A total of 100 patients with facial plastic surgery admitted to our hospital from March 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to different suture methods, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional suture, and the observation group was treated with collagen threads. The scar healing (VSS score), adverse reactions, quality of life, negative emotion score and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The VSS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P
