Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of oral implant repair in dentition defect. Methods A total of 80 patients with dentition defect admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to October 2022 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received routine repair treatment, and the observation group received oral implant repair treatment. The clinical efficacy and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. The chewing function and aesthetic scores of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.00%, which was higher than 77.50% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 7.50%, which was lower than 27.50% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The bite force and chewing efficiency of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The WES score, PES score and total score of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Oral implant repair treatment can effectively improve the chewing function of patients with dentition defect, achieve higher aesthetic effect and treatment effect, and the incidence rate is low, which is worthy of clinical application.
