Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of cosmetic suture technique in patients with facial trauma. Methods A total of 80 patients with facial trauma admitted to our department from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into routine group and cosmetic group by random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The routine group underwent routine suture, and the cosmetic group underwent cosmetic suture. The suture time, suture cost, postoperative wound healing, scar subjective and objective evaluation results were compared between the two groups. Results The suture time and suture cost of the cosmetic group were higher than those of the routine group (P<0.05). The grade A healing rate of the cosmetic group was 97.50%, which was higher than 87.50% of the routine group (P<0.05). The satisfaction score of the cosmetic group was higher than that of the routine group, and the scar area and scar length were smaller than those of the routine group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of cosmetic suture technique in patients with facial trauma is effective. Compared with the routine suture method, although the cosmetic suture technique has a slightly longer suture time and a slightly higher cost, the wound healing is more ideal, and the postoperative scar is not obvious. Meanwhile, patient satisfaction is high and worthy of clinical application.
