Abstract:Objective To observe the safety of a commercially available radiofrequency home beauty instrument with intelligent adjustment of heating energy. Methods From May to September 2022, 121 female subjects aged 30-50 years old with healthy skin in China were recruited from 7 cities and 10 tertiary hospitals in China. All subjects used a double-effect intelligent radiofrequency home beauty instrument (with official gel) in the facial and periocular areas, 5 times a week for 4 weeks. Follow-up was performed at W0, W2 and W4 to observe whether the subjects had adverse reactions such as erythema, edema, papules and blisters, and to evaluate the safety of the product. Results One of the subjects withdrew for other reasons, and the remaining 120 subjects completed the test as required. A small number of subjects had mild local stimulation, and the follow-up symptoms disappeared after the use method was adjusted or not adjusted, which did not affect the continued application of the product. No adverse reactions affecting the use of the product occurred during the treatment of all subjects. Conclusion The clinical application of this radiofrequency home beauty instrument is safe.
