Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of comprehensive nursing in the treatment of orthodontic patients with fixed orthodontic extraction. Methods A total of 80 orthodontic patients who underwent fixed orthodontic extraction in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were randomly divided into study group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine nursing mode, and the study group was treated with comprehensive nursing mode. The oral health index, complications, quality of life, pain degree and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The DI and PI indexes of the study group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was 7.50%, which was lower than 25.00% in the control group (P<0.05). After nursing, the UW-QOL score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the VAS score was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The total nursing satisfaction of the study group was 97.50%, which was higher than 82.50% of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing is effective in the treatment of orthodontic patients with fixed orthodontic extraction, which can effectively improve the quality of life of patients, reduce pain and the incidence of complications, and improve nursing satisfaction.
