Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of fixed-removable denture combined repair on the cosmetic effect of patients with dentition defect. Methods A total of 54 patients with dentition defect admitted to Qindu Central Hospital of Huyi District from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into reference group and study group, with 27 patients in each group. The reference group was given routine removable denture repair, and the study group was given fixed-removable denture combined repair. The levels of inflammatory factors in gingival crevicular fluid, masticatory function index, aesthetic score and oral health score were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in gingival crevicular fluid in the study group were lower than those in the reference group (P<0.05). After treatment, the masticatory function index and aesthetic score of the study group were higher than those of the reference group (P<0.05). The score of oral health impact scale 14 (OHIP-14) in the study group was lower than that in the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of fixed-movable denture combined with dentition defect repair is ideal, which can effectively improve the patient's tooth aesthetics and masticatory function, reduce inflammatory stimulation, and improve oral health.
