Objective To explore the application effect of anchored teaching method in the teaching of comprehensive training course of medical cosmetology technology. Methods The Sixty-four students of Grade 2021 majoring in medical cosmetology technology of our school were randomly divided into experimental group （n =34）and control group （n =30） The control group was taught by traditional teaching method, and the experimental group was taught by anchored teaching method. The teaching effect and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of reception and interview skills, skin examination skills, humanistic care and professional quality, skin cosmetic operation skills, communication skills and overall ability in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The teaching satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of anchored teaching method in medical cosmetology comprehensive training course can effectively improve students' overall ability, give full play to students' initiative, and improve students' satisfaction with teaching. It is worthy of application in medical cosmetology course.
