Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of modified rectangular skin flap in repairing wounds after excision of eyebrow mass. Methods From January 2021 to June 2022, 11 patients with eyebrow mass who were treated in our hospital were selected. After the resection of the body surface tumor, the modified rectangular flap in the eyebrow was designed to repair the wound according to the defect. Postoperative follow-up was performed to analyze the surgical effect, and bilateral eyebrow symmetry, scar degree, recurrence rate and patient satisfaction were compared before and after treatment. Results Eleven patients were pathologically diagnosed as pigmented nevus. The one-stage survival rate of the flap after operation was 100.00%. The color and texture of the flap were close to the surrounding tissues. The postoperative scar was not obvious. The eyebrow shape and hair density were close to the healthy side. The appearance was beautiful and the patient's satisfaction was high. After half a year of follow-up, there was no recurrence of the tumor, no scar hyperplasia, and the eyebrows on the flap grew well without shedding. Conclusion The modified rectangular flap has a good effect on repairing the wound after excision of eyebrow mass, which can not only repair the wound, but also maintain the eyebrow shape to a great extent, and the postoperative scar is not obvious.
