Objective To explore the application effect of light-cured resin materials in dental cosmetic repair. Methods A total of 62 patients who underwent dental cosmetic repair in the Department of Stomatology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to the different repair materials, they were divided into study group and control group, with 31 patients in each group. The control group was repaired with ceramic materials, and the study group was repaired with light-cured resin materials. The effects of dental cosmetic repair, complications, recurrence, overall satisfaction and treatment costs were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of repair in the study group was 96.77%, which was higher than 90.32% in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The overall satisfaction of the study group was 93.55%, which was higher than 80.65% of the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications and recurrence rate between the two groups (P>0.05). The treatment cost of the study group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of light-cured resin materials in dental cosmetic repair is effective. It can not only effectively repair the affected teeth, but also improve the patients' tooth function. After repair, it will not increase the recurrence rate and complication rate. Compared with ceramic materials, the price of light-cured resin materials is cheaper, and the overall satisfaction of patients is higher, which is worthy of clinical application.
