Objective To analyze the application effect of high quality nursing intervention in patients with vulva leukoplakia during photodynamic therapy. Methods A total of 64 female patients with vulvar leukoplakia admitted to our hospital from February to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 32 patients in each group. All patients received photodynamic therapy. The control group received routine nursing according to the nursing process of the department, and the observation group received high quality nursing intervention. The nursing efficacy, skin scar and negative emotion were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of nursing in the observation group was 96.88%, which was higher than 84.38% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of pigmentation, smoothness, flexibility and surface area in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the SAS score and SDS score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of high quality nursing intervention during photodynamic therapy in patients with vulvar leukoplakia is effective, which can effectively improve the patients' vulvar skin symptoms, regulate negative emotions, and promote patient recovery
