Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of lower eyelid entropion surgery based on park method theory and orbicularis oculi muscle shortening surgery in the treatment of senile lower eyelid entropion and trichiasis. Methods From December 2021 to December 2022, 100 patients (169 eyes) with senile lower eyelid entropion and trichiasis in our hospital were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into control group (84 eyes) and observation group (85 eyes), with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with orbicularis oculi muscle shortening surgery, and the observation group was treated with lower eyelid entropion surgery based on park method theory. The correction effect and eye symptom score of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the correction effect between the two groups (P>0.05). The OSDI scores of the two groups at 1 week, 1 month and 3 months after operation were lower than those before operation, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05). The OSDI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group at 3 months after operation, the difference was statistically significant (P
