Objective To explore the effect of laparoscopic surgery and laparotomy on wound aesthetics and hope level of gynecological patients. Methods A total of 50 patients with gynecological diseases who underwent surgical treatment in Nanjing Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January to September 2022 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 25 patients in each group. The observation group underwent laparoscopic surgery, and the control group underwent laparotomy. The aesthetic satisfaction of incision, the width and thickness of incision scar and Herth Hope Index (HHI) were compared between the two groups.
