Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of invisible orthodontic treatment combined with porcelain restoration on the aesthetics and occlusal function of patients with maxillary dentition defect. Methods A total of 40 patients with maxillary dentition defect admitted to the Department of Stomatology of Laizhou City People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected. According to different repair treatment schemes, they were divided into control group (porcelain restoration repair treatment) and observation group (invisible correction combined with porcelain restoration repair treatment), with 20 patients in each group. The clinical efficacy, aesthetic, occlusal function and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 100.00%, which was higher than 80.00% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the aesthetic score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the occlusal asymmetry index was lawer than that in the control group, bite force and masticatory efficiency in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.00%, which was lower than 30.00% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Invisible orthodontic treatment combined with porcelain restoration for patients with maxillary dentition loss can improve the effect of repair treatment, effectively improve occlusal function, improve masticatory efficiency, and have ideal aesthetic effect and less adverse reactions.
