Abstract:Objective To explore the application of glass fiber post in aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth defects. Methods A total of 84 patients with anterior tooth defect admitted to our hospital from May 2021 to May 2022 were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 42 patients in each group. The control group was treated with cast metal post, and the study group was treated with glass fiber post. The clinical efficacy, repair effect and pain degree of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 92.86%, which was higher than 73.81% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The proportions of appropriate edge, complete restoration and color matching in the study group were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). After treatment, the VAS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of glass fiber post in the aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth defect is effective, which can improve the total effective rate of treatment. And, the repair effect is ideal, the discomfort of patients in the later stage is slight, which is worthy of clinical application.
