Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of combined orthodontic and restorative treatment for congenital tooth morphology abnormalities. Methods From February 2018 to February 2023, 40 patients with congenital tooth morphology abnormalities in Miaoshan Community Health Service Center, Jiangxia Economic Development Zone were selected as the research objects. According to the treatment methods, they were divided into single treatment group and combined treatment group, with 20 patients in each group. The single treatment group was treated with single repair, and the combined treatment group was treated with orthodontic combined restorative treatment. The oral function, chewing function, language function, pain degree, anxiety degree, quality of life, clinical efficacy, recovery time and appearance satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of oral function, chewing function, language function, pain, anxiety and quality of life in the two groups were better than those before treatment, and those in the combined treatment group were better than the single treatment group (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with single repair treatment, the clinical effect of orthodontics combined with restorative treatment in patients with congenital tooth morphology abnormalities is good, which can improve the oral function, chewing function and language function of patients, relieve the anxiety of patients, and reduce the impact of orthodontic treatment on their quality of life. Meanwhile, the pain after repair is mild and the patient satisfaction is high.
