Abstract:Objective To retrospectively analyze the changes of inpatients in the Burns and Plastic Surgery Department of Qingyuan People's Hospital from 2019 to 2021. Methods The big data platform of Qingyuan People's Hospital was used to retrospectively collect the data of inpatients in the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and the differences in the number of inpatients, age and proportion of diseases in the past three years were compared. Results The average age of inpatients increased gradually in the past three years, and the average age of inpatients in 2021 was higher than that in 2019, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total number of hospitalizations in 2020 and 2021 decreased by 45.16% and 55.97%, respectively. Compared with 2019, the proportion of hospitalizations due to pressure sores and chronic wounds increased in 2020 and 2021, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion In the past three years, the number of inpatients and the types of diseases in Burn and Plastic Surgery Department have changed greatly, and the proportion of elderly patients hospitalized due to pressure sores and chronic wounds has increased greatly.
