Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of ceramic laminate veneer and porcelain crown in oral aesthetic restoration. Methods A total of 40 patients who underwent oral aesthetic restoration in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group and control group according to different repair methods, with 20 patients in each group. The control group was repaired with porcelain crown, and the observation group was repaired with ceramic laminate veneer. The aesthetic repair effect, periodontal health status, clinical efficacy and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The aesthetic repair effect scores of the observation group after 3, 6 and 12 months of repair were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). PD, BI and AL in the observation group were better than those in the control group after 6 months of repair (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.00%, which was higher than 60.00% in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.00%, which was lower than 35.00% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of ceramic laminate veneer in oral aesthetic restoration is better than that of porcelain crown, which can reduce the stimulation of periodontal tissue, improve periodontal health, improve the aesthetics of teeth, and further improve the excellent and good rate of treatment. Meanwhile, the risk of complications is small and the safety is high.
