Abstract:Objective To observe the application effect of PBL teaching method in clinical practice teaching of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Methods From April 2019 to April 2022, 60 students with 5-year majoring in stomatology who practiced in oral and maxillofacial surgery in our hospital were selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into experimental group and conventional group, with 30 students in each group. The conventional group was given the traditional teaching mode, and the experimental group was given the PBL teaching mode. The assessment results and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The theoretical knowledge, case analysis and practical operation scores and total scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the conventional group (P<0.05). The teaching satisfaction of the experimental group in cultivating self-study ability, improving learning interest, improving data retrieval ability, cultivating comprehensive thinking ability, enhancing team cooperation consciousness, improving communication and expression ability was higher than that of the conventional group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of PBL teaching method in clinical practice teaching of oral and maxillofacial surgery is effective, which can improve students' knowledge mastery, cultivate students' comprehensive analysis and problem-solving ability, and students' satisfaction with the teaching mode is high.
