Abstract:Objective To observe the application effect of surgical resection combined with radiation for keloid on body surface. Methods A total of 96 patients with body surface keloid admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to July 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 48 patients in each group. The control group was treated with body surface keloid surgery, and the observation group was combined with radiotherapy on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS) score, complication rate and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 89.58%, which was higher than 72.92% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of vascular distribution, softness, color and thickness in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.17%, which was lower than 6.25% in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group was 6.25%, which was lower than 16.67% of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Surgery combined with radiotherapy is effective for patients with keloids on the body surface, which can improve the total effective rate of treatment, improve the scar condition, and will not increase the incidence of complications. Meanwhile, the recurrence rate after treatment is low, and is a feasible and effective treatment plan.
