Objective To explore the clinical effect of Piminxiao capsule combined with mometasone furoate cream in the treatment of patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Methods A total of 100 patients with psoriasis vulgaris admitted to the Department of Dermatology of Gong'an County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2018 to July 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with mometasone furoate cream, and the observation group was treated with Piminxiao capsule combined with mometasone furoate cream. The TCM symptom scores, severity of skin lesions, levels of inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of erythema and itching, irritability and fatigue, red tongue and white tongue coating and PASI score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-10 and IL-17 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 2.00%, which was lower than 18.00% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Piminxiao Capsules combined with mometasone furoate cream has a good effect in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris. It can not only effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce the severity of skin lesions, but also effectively inhibit the level of inflammatory factors and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
