Objective To explore the application effect of medical glue in emergency patients with facial skin laceration. Methods A total of 276 patients with facial skin laceration admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University from May 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the research objects. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into experimental group (n=146) and control group (n=130). Both groups were treated with routine debridement. The control group was treated with routine suture of the wound, and the experimental group was treated with medical glue to close the wound. The operation time, pain index, adverse reactions and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05). The pain index of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the experimental group was 93.84%, which was higher than 76.15% of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application effect of medical glue in patients with facial skin laceration is better, which can effectively shorten the operation time, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions and improve the satisfaction of treatment.
