Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of early functional orthodontics technique for children with orthodontic treatment. Methods A total of 64 children with orthodontics admitted to Linyi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to September 2022 were selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into the reference group and the study group, with 32 children in each group. The control group was treated with early non-muscle function training appliance, and the study group was treated with muscle function correction on the basis of conventional appliance wearing. The X-ray cephalometric data, upper middle tooth inclination angle and upper middle tooth protrusion distance were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the SNB angle, SNA angle, ANB angle, UI-NA angle, LI- NB angle, SNA-Me height and NP-FH angle of the study group were better than those of the reference group (P<0.05). After treatment, the inclination angle of upper and middle teeth and the distance of upper and middle teeth in the study group were lower than those in the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion Early functional orthodontics technique can improve the clinical symptoms and skeletal dysplasia of children with orthodontics.
