Abstract:To compare the effect of ceramic laminate veneer and porcelain crown in oral aesthetic restoration. Methods From April to October 2022, 80 patients who underwent oral aesthetic restoration in the Department of Stomatology of Tongshi Town Health Center in Pingyi County were selected and divided into control group and study group by odd and even number, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with porcelain crown for oral aesthetic restoration, and the study group was treated with ceramic laminate veneer for oral aesthetic restoration. The dental restoration, periodontal health status, oral cosmetic repair effect and complications were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in tooth restoration between the two groups at 1 month after restoration (P >0.05). The dental restoration of the study group was better than that of the control group at 2, 4 and 6 months after restoration (P <0.05). At 6 months after restoration, the attachment loss, periodontal pocket depth and gingival bleeding index in the study group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The excellent and good rate of tooth edge color, edge fit, oral comfort and aesthetics in the study group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was 2.50%, which was lower than 17.50% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Both ceramic laminate veneer and porcelain crown can be used for oral aesthetic restoration, but ceramic laminate veneer has better repair effect, and the incidence of complications after restoration is low, which can fully maintain the oral health of patients.
