To observe the effect of interferon combined with microwave therapy on female patients with condyloma acuminatum. Methods A total of 90 female patients with condyloma acuminatum admitted to our hospital from May 2021 to January 2023 were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with microwave, and the experimental group was treated with interferon combined with microwave. The clinical efficacy, quality of sexual life, inflammatory factors and recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 97.78%, which was higher than 77.78% in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of vaginal lubrication, sexual excitement, orgasm and sexual desire after treatment in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The levels of IL-1, TNF-α and hs-CRP after treatment in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The recurrence rate of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group at 1 and 3 months after treatment (P <0.05). Conclusion The effect of interferon combined with microwave therapy on female patients with condyloma acuminatum is good, which can improve the quality of sexual life of patients, eliminate inflammatory reaction, and effectively control the recurrence of the disease in the later stage.
