Abstract:To study the clinical effect of combined orthodontic and restorative treatment for adult malocclusion deformity. Methods A total of 50 adult patients with malocclusion admitted to the Department of Stomatology, Pingchao Central Health Hospital, Tongzhou District, Nantong City from May 2019 to January 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 25 patients in each group. The control group was given routine treatment, and the observation group was given combined orthodontic and restorative treatment. The oral function, coordinated aesthetics, clinical efficacy and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of language function, chewing function and coordination aesthetics in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the observation group was 96.00%, which was better than 56.00% in the control group (P <0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the observation group was 92.00%, which was better than 52.00% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion combined orthodontic and restorative treatment can effectively improve the oral function and coordinate aesthetics of adult patients with malocclusion deformity, accelerate the repair of their teeth, and have high patient satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
