Abstract:To explore the value of plastic and cosmetic repair technology in the treatment of emergency facial trauma patients. Methods A total of 137 facial trauma patients diagnosed and treated in the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University/Qingyuan People's Hospital from January to May 2023 were selected as the study objects. According to the admission time, they were divided into the control group (n =69) and the observation group (n =68). The control group was treated with conventional surgical repair, and the observation group was treated with plastic and cosmetic repair technology. The excellent and good rate of wound healing, incidence of complications and facial aesthetics were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of wound healing in the observation group was 89.71%, which was higher than 75.36% in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 7.35%, which was lower than 18.84% in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of overall facial beauty, skin color and facial symmetry in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05).
