Abstract:To explore the effect of speaking-showing-doing nursing intervention in orthodontic treatment of children with impacted deciduous teeth and its influence on children's fear, compliance behavior and family nursing satisfaction. Methods A total of 126 children with impacted deciduous teeth who received orthodontic treatment in Zhongshan Stomatological Hospital of Guangdong Province from August 2020 to August 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 63 children in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given speaking-showing-doing nursing intervention. The scores of psychological state, compliance status and family nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The compliance rate of the observation group was 95.24%, which was higher than 77.78% of the control group (P <0.05). After intervention, the scores of Children's Fear Questionnaire-Dental Subscale (CFSS-DS) and Anxiety and Cooperative Behavior Rating Scale (Venham) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The family satisfaction of the observation group was 96.83%, which was higher than 74.60% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Speaking-showing-doing nursing intervention can not only effectively reduce the fear of orthodontic treatment in children with impacted deciduous teeth, but also improve the treatment compliance of children and the satisfaction of accompanying family members. The intervention effect is satisfactory.
