Abstract:To explore the clinical effect of high quality nursing in the perioperative period of orthodontic treatment of maxillofacial deformity. Methods A total of 80 patients with maxillofacial deformity treated by orthognathic orthodontics in China-Japan Friendship Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 40 patients in each group. The observation group was treated with high quality nursing, and the control group was treated with routine nursing. The nursing effect, postoperative recovery index, psychological state, complication rate and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.50%, which was higher than 82.50% of the control group (P <0.05). The postoperative VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the postoperative suture removal time and total hospitalization time were shorter than those of the control group (P <0.05). The scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group after nuring were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 2.50%, which was lower than 17.50% in the control group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 97.50%, which was higher than 82.50% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients with dental and maxillofacial deformity, high-quality nursing measures in the perioperative period of orthognathic orthodontic treatment can effectively improve the treatment effect, reduce the risk of postoperative complications, improve the prognosis of patients, and is worthy of clinical application.
