Abstract:To analyze the effect of CFS suspension combined with levator palpebrae superioris shortening in patients with moderate to severe blepharoptosis. Methods A total of 22 patients with moderate to severe blepharoptosis admitted to the People's Hospital of Qiannan from March 2019 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 11 patients in each group. The control group was treated with CFS suspension, and the observation group was treated with CFS suspension combined with levator palpebrae superioris shortening. The treatment effect, upper eyelid hysteresis and insufficient eyelid closure, complications, postoperative palpebral fissure height (PFH), margin reflex distance 1 (MRD1) and satisfaction of surgical correction effect were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 90.91%, which was higher than 72.73% in the control group (P <0.05). The range of upper eyelid activity in the observation group was larger than that in the control group, and the amount of insufficient eyelid closure was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). PFH and MRD1 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction of surgical correction effect in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients with moderate to severe blepharoptosis, CFS suspension and combined levator palpebrae superioris shortening have good results, which can improve the upper eyelid stagnation and eyelid insufficiency, reduce the incidence of complications, and patients have high satisfaction with the operation.
