To analyze the application effect of gingival cleaning combined with Kangfuxin liquid in the treatment of chronic gingivitis in children with orthodontics. Methods A total of 90 children with chronic gingivitis who underwent orthodontic treatment in the Stomatology Department of Langfang People's Hospital from August 2020 to August 2023 were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 45 children in each group. The control group was treated with gingival cleaning, and the study group was treated with gingival cleaning combined with Kangfuxin liquid. The clinical efficacy, gingival swelling, oral hygiene and pain degree were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 93.33%, which was higher than 77.78% in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the proportion of grade Ⅰ gingival swelling in the two groups was higher than that in the control group, and grade Ⅲ gingival swelling was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in grade Ⅱ gingival swelling between the two groups (P >0.05). After treatment, the index of GI、CI、PLI、SBI in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the VAS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Gingival cleaning combined with Kangfuxin liquid has a good clinical effect in the treatment of chronic gingivitis in children with orthodontics, which can effectively reduce the symptoms of gingival swelling and pain, improve oral hygiene, and is conducive to improving the therapeutic effect.
