Abstract:To explore the application effect of psychological nursing combined with regular oral nursing in patients with orthodontic treatment with fixed appliance. Methods Sixty patients who underwent orthodontic treatment with fixed appliance in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing measures, and the observation group was given psychological nursing combined with regular oral nursing measures. The periodontal health indicators, anxiety, complications and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of GI and PLI-O in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The SAI score of the observation group after nursing was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 3.33%, which was lower than 26.67% in the control group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 96.67%, which was higher than 80.00% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Psychological nursing combined with regular oral nursing measures for patients with orthodontic treatment with fixed appliance can help improve the periodontal health level of patients, relieve anxiety, reduce the risk of complications, and have higher patient satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
