To observe the application effect of compound Huangbai liquid wet compress combined with yellow light in the treatment of patients with facial hormone dependent dermatitis. Methods A total of 80 patients with facial hormone dependent dermatitis admitted to the Department of Dermatology of Shouguang People's Hospital from June 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with yellow light, and the observation group was treated with compound Huangbai liquid wet compress combined with yellow light. The symptom and sign scores, clinical efficacy, adverse reactions and recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of facial symptoms and signs in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 92.50%, which was higher than 75.00% in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P >0.05). There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion The effect of compound Huangbai liquid wet compress combined with yellow light therapy on patients with facial hormone dependent dermatitis is better than that of single yellow light therapy, which can effectively improve the facial symptoms and signs of patients without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions and recurrence rate.
