Abstract:To explore the aesthetic effect of oral implant restoration in patients with anterior dentition defect. Methods A total of 72 patients with anterior dentition defect admitted to our department from October 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects. According to different repair treatment schemes, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 36 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional restoration, and the observation group was treated with oral implant restoration. The aesthetic value of the forehead face and the aesthetic satisfaction of the dentition were compared between the two groups. Results The total score of DESI in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of relationship between the angle of the upper central incisor and the midline of the face, the parallelism score of the lower lip and the maxillary incisor arch, and the total score of the extraoral items in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the exposure score of anterior teeth between the two groups (P >0.05). The scores of gingival contour, interdental papilla position, dental arch continuity, anterior teeth axial, adjacent position, central incisor proportion and total score of intraoral items in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05), while there was no significant difference in tooth color score between the two groups (P >0.05). The aesthetic satisfaction of dentition in the observation group was 94.44%, which was higher than 80.56% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with conventional restoration, oral implant restoration of dentition defect has a higher aesthetic effect, which is conducive to improving patient satisfaction and is worthy of clinical application.
