To study the intervention effect of cream formula combined with cosmetic press needle on chloasma patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type. Methods A total of 122 patients with chloasma of qi stagnation and blood stasis type admitted to our hospital from January to December 2022 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 61 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional laser therapy, and the observation group was treated with cream formula combined with cosmetic press needle. The clinical efficacy, chloasma area, melasma area and severity index (MASI) score, superoxide dismutase (SOD) content, estrogen level and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The area of chloasma in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group, and the MASI score was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.72%, which was higher than 88.52% in the control group (P <0.05). The level of SOD in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The levels of P in the observation group was higher than those in the control group, and the level of LH and E2 were lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.92%, which was lower than 13.11% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Cream formula combined with cosmetic press needle has a good clinical effect in the treatment of chloasma patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type, which can effectively reduce the severity of chloasma and reduce the area of chloasma. Meanwhile, it is beneficial to improve the estrogen level of patients. The incidence of adverse reactions after treatment is low and the safety is high.
