Abstract:To analyze the effect of orthodontic combined with oral implantation on patients with dentition defect. Methods A total of 60 patients with dentition defect admitted to Honghuagang District Stomatological Hospital in Zunyi from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group (n =28) and observation group (n =32) by random number table method. The control group was treated with oral implantation alone, and the observation group was treated with orthodontics combined with oral implantation. The clinical efficacy, cosmetic effect, oral function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.75%, which was higher than 75.00% in the control group (P <0.05). The proportion of teeth alignment, occlusal comfort, anterior teeth coverage and good coverage and good adjacent relationship in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of masticatory function, pronunciation function and aesthetic function in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were higher than the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 6.25%, which was lower than 21.43% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Orthodontic combined with oral implantation in the treatment of dentition defect has a good effect, which can improve the aesthetics of teeth, improve the oral function of patients, and the incidence of adverse reactions is low, which is worthy of clinical application
