Abstract:Objective To investigate the situation and influencing factors of large area scald with Klebsiella pneumoniae infection. Methods A total of 120 patients with large area scald diagnosed and treated in Ankang People's Hospital from Apr.2020 to Aug.2023 were selected as the research objects. According to the results of pathogen detection, they were divided into Klebsiella pneumoniae group and control group. Univariate and multivariate analysis were used to analyze the occurrence factors of large area scald with Klebsiella pneumoniae infection. Results There were 15 cases of Klebsiella pneumoniae infection in 120 patients, accounting for 12.50%; univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in age, diabetes mellitus, ICU hospitalization time, tracheal insertion, and use of immunosuppressive agents between the Klebsiella pneumoniae group and the control group (P <0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, diabetes mellitus, ICU hospitalization time, tracheal insertion, and use of immunosuppressive agents were important factors leading to large area scald with Klebsiella pneumoniae infection (P <0.05). Conclusion Large area scald with Klebsiella pneumoniae infection is common. Age, diabetes, ICU hospitalization time, tracheal insertion, use of immunosuppressive agents and other factors are closely related to large area scald with Klebsiella pneumoniae infection.
