Objective To investigate the clinical effect of chemical peeling combined with Danggui Kushen pills in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Methods A total of 72 patients with acne vulgaris admitted to our hospital from December 2022 to August 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 36 patients in each group. The control group was treated with chemical peeling, and the observation group was treated with chemical peeling combined with Danggui Kushen pills. The clinical efficacy and skin heme content and sebum content of forehead, cheek and nose were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.22%, which was higher than 75.00% of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the skin heme content and sebum content of forehead, cheek and nose in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Chemical peeling combined with Danggui Kushen pill is effective in the treatment of acne vulgaris, which can effectively reduce the content of skin heme and sebum, and improve the color and skin quality.
