Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of orthodontics combined with oral restoration in patients with congenital missing teeth. Methods A total of 90 patients with congenital missing teeth admitted to Yantaishan Hospital in Yantai from January to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to the different treatment time, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with routine orthodontic treatment, and the observation group was treated with oral restoration on the basis of the control group. The clinical repair effect, oral function and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of repair in the observation group was 97.78%, which was higher than 73.33% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of masticatory function, language function and solid function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores of psychological function, physical function, social function and material life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients withcongenital missing teeth, orthodontic combined with oral restoration can effectively improve the repair effect, promote the recovery of oral function and improve the quality of life of patients, which has high clinical application value.
