Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of ceramic laminate veneer and porcelain crown in oral aesthetic restoration, and its impact on tooth function. Methods A total of 60 patients admitted to Changshu Meili People's Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into conventional group and experimental group by random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The conventional group was treated with porcelain crown restoration, and the experimental group was treated with ceramic laminate veneer restoration. The clinical efficacy, masticatory function, pain perception, periodontal status and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was 96.67%, which was higher than 83.33% of the conventional group (P <0.05). The bite force, masticatory efficiency and pain score of the experimental group were better than those of the conventional group (P <0.05). The PD, BI and AL evaluation results of periodontal index in the experimental group were better than those in the conventional group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 3.33%, which was lower than 13.33% in the conventional group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of ceramic laminate veneer in oral aesthetic restoration can improve the clinical efficacy, bite force, masticatory efficiency, pain score and periodontal status, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
