Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of prefabricated fiber post and metal post for oral restoration. Methods A total of 80 patients with oral restoration admitted to the Department of Stomatology, Laixi People's Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with metal post for oral restoration, and the study group was treated with prefabricated fiber post for oral restoration. The repair effect, periodontal health, tooth repair time, tooth loosening and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The repair success rate of the study group was 100.00%, which was higher than 87.50% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The periodontal pocket depth, bleeding index and gingival crevicular fluid content of the two groups after intervention were lower than those before intervention, and those of the study group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The repair time of the affected teeth in the study group was (62.48±0.52) min, which was shorter than (89.81±0.49)min in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The rate of tooth loosening in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion In the field of oral restoration, the curative effect of prefabricated fiber post is better than that of metal post, which can effectively shorten the repair time of teeth, reduce the rate of tooth loosening, improve the oral health status, and patients have higher satisfaction with treatment.
