Abstract:Objective: To explore the application value and aesthetic evaluation of light cured composite resin in clinical oral cosmetic restoration. Methods: A total of 70 cosmetic repair patients admitted to the Department of Stomatology were selected from July 2020 to July 2023 and divided into groups using a random number table method. Reference group consisted of 35 patients with porcelain veneer restoration, while observation group consisted of 35 patients with light cured composite resin. The oral cosmetic restoration effects and the aesthetic evaluation of the patients were analyzed. Results: The excellence rate of oral cosmetic repair in the observation group was 71.43%, which was higher than that in the reference group (P<0.05). The probability of restoration detachment and bite dysfunction in the observation group was lower than that in the reference group (P<0.05). The observation group had higher scores for the morphology, color luster, and overall aesthetics of the photopolymerized composite resin restoration than the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Light cured composite resin restoration has good integrity and stability, can reduce the probability of restoration detachment, has minimal stimulation to normal periodontal tissue, and is highly recognized by patients for its aesthetic appearance after restoration. It is recommended as the preferred solution for oral cosmetic restoration.
