Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of light-curing composite resin in oral aesthetic restoration. Methods A total of 60 patients who underwent oral aesthetic restoration in the Department of Stomatology of Huanghua Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects. Based on the cause of injury, they were divided into dental fluorosis group and tooth abnormalities group, with 30 patients in each group. All patients were treated with layered plastic curing based on light-curing composite resin. The repair effect, treatment satisfaction, periodontal index and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the dental fluorosis group was 96.67%, which was higher than 83.33% in the tooth abnormalities group (P <0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the dental fluorosis group was 90.00%, which was higher than 83.33% of the tooth abnormalities group (P <0.05). After treatment, GI, PD, BI and PLI in the dental fluorosis group were lower than those in the tooth abnormalities group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion The application of light-curing composite resin in oral aesthetic restoration is effective, especially for patients with dental fluorosis, which can effectively improve the effect of tooth repair and improve the periodontal index of patients. Meanwhile, it has the advantages of convenient material selection, simple operation, stable curative effect and good safety, and patients have higher satisfaction with repair treatment.
